Several seriously ill Jews have left the camp in Drancy. Their testimony tallies with information from other sources. And so when they told us that “the camp is hell” we believed them.
We know from the newspapers and have reported on the odious traffic the Mobile Guards guarding the camp have engaged in: 125 francs for ONE cigarette, 40 francs for ONE carrot and so on. These are the prices of this oh so Aryan black market. We know that the buildings in which the Jews are parked were deserted by the Mobile Guards and are uninhabitable. Sickness is ravaging the internees. A few days ago the number who died reached 52. The letters that reach us from the camp are full of fear. “Will we be able to hold out?” they ask.
Comrades! We must organize solidarity with the imprisoned Jews everywhere. Like the working class militants, they too are fascism’s designated victims.
Comrades, we must not allow them to die!
DOWN WITH ANTI-SEMITISM!
SOLIDARITY WITH THE VICTIMS OF FASCISM!
