Daniel Norman

Daniel Norman was born in Rumania and studied law at Bucharest University. He divided his activities between the Rumanian Socialist movement – which he has represented at several international conferences – and journalism. During the war he served as a volunteer in the French army and spent five years in German captivity. Later he moved to London where he worked as a freelance writer. He contributed to the Manchester Guardian, the Economist, the Observer, the French monthly Preuves, and other journals. For some years was been engaged on research for an anthology of Marx on Russia.
