We started this year with US$2234.14 in the bank. At our 2011 average spending of about $250 per month, we started the year with reserves suficient to maintain the archive for 8 to 10 months, barring any income at all. This picture, however, is offset by two important factors: 1) we have reduced our ISP costs by 50%, bringing them down to US$100/mo.; 2) we are receiving some funds from an archival project which will amount to US$360 in the course of the year. These potentially double the length of time that we can cover the server costs of the MIA, consequently we are in a strong financial position for the next year or two, barring any costly emergencies.
