Order of the Day, addressed to Marshal Malinovsky, announces that troops of the Second Ukrainian Front, on November 4, on Hungarian territory, carried by storm the town and large railway junction of Szolnok, an important strong point in the enemy defence on the River Tisza.
The Order mentions 35 commanders of troops, artillerymen, tankmen, airmen, sappers and signallers whose units and formations have distinguished themselves.
A salute of 12 salvoes was fired from 124 Moscow guns.
