Thank you for sending us the first issue of Socialist Viewpoint. It came 2-3 days ago. I have missed Sylvia and Nat Weinstein’s and Roland Sheppard’s writings and analyses. We need to reestablish basic Marxist concepts—no opposition or acceptance of reformism as the final goal. The struggle of Marx, Engels, Luxemburg, Lenin, DeLeon, Trotsky and others is our struggle today, as always, to begin to demolish once and for all exploitation: the eternal struggle to be free as we all sense deep within us.

All the writings in the first issue are fine and helpful.
I have enclosed a check for the full amount of a subscription.

This is a great time to be starting a new socialist magazine. There are today mass demonstrations against world capitalism throughout the world. People are going on to the stage of history. They need and want good leadership—the new Socialist Viewpoint can do this. It will be an exciting and interesting time, we go confidently in the direction of our dreams. Thank you for asking me to help!

My small personal problem is I live on a small income of $300 a month and out of this comes $75 a month for necessary medical expenses, $100 a month in our nine months of winter for heat, then expenses like food etc. So I can’t help much with money (I never could throughout my life.)

I can send you $50 for subs for myself and two friends that hopefully will respond later themselves.
