Other tasks to be done when time allows:

At this point, nearly all of the Collected Works needs to be repaired
and proofread. Because the 'mouseover' and bad footnote anchor codes
cause certain browsers to crash and therefore make many files in the LIA
unreadable, it is a priority to eliminate these codes, beginning with the
Selected Works, in order to make the most important works
available to readers.
 
Below is a list of what needs to be completed for the entire Collected
Works, beginning with the tasks needed for the Selected Works.
 
The first section will be done while removing the 'mouseover' and bad
footnote anchor codes. The next step will be to complete the whole list
of repairs, going volume by volume, making the repairs of the second section
of the list to the Selected Works, and those of the entire list to
the remainder of the Collected Works.
 

Section Two:

• add Translator and any missing bibliographic info
• standardize footer links table
• proofread and clean up HTML
• if necessary, combine all notes into one section entitled "Notes"
• convert codes to decimal equivalents (i.e., -nbsp; to -#160;)
• change "HTML Markup By" line to "Original Markup by", and add
  "Remarkup and Proofread" info
• link Notes and/or text to MIA Encyclopedia
• Update header title
• Each volume's Index page needs page numbers

• replace the split "V.I. Lenin" links with "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin"
• add meta-content to headers
• change to correct copyright format
• update the Source line with correct format and removing link
  to .txt file
• remove "other formats" link to .tgz files
• delete .tgz and .ht files
• remove 'mouseover' and bad footnote anchor codes
• convert Footnotes and Endnotes into "ednote" from "anote" and
  "endnote" format
• remove extra mid-sentence spaces associated with 'mouseovers'
• remove bogus or unnecessary mark-up notes and links in text
• add Translator and any missing bibliographic info
• standardize footer links table
• proofread and clean up HTML
• if necessary, combine all notes into one section entitled "Notes"
